The rules
Eight rules from our own tests
We make ads for our own products with Seedance 2.5. These are the habits that kept the product looking like the real thing.
- 1
Short beats long
Start with "Ultra realistic, 4k like." and then one or two sentences. In our test on 27 Oct 2026, a long prompt timed to the tenth of a second came out cartoonish, and words like "phone footage" made it flat.
- 2
Call the product by its picture
Write "the serum from image 1" and say it stays exactly as in image 1. Upload the product photo as the first picture.
- 3
Give the real size
Compare it with something everyone knows: "no bigger than her palm", "about as tall as a kettle". Without that, products grow or shrink.
- 4
One person, one action, one shot
A single steady take with one clear action looks real. Falls, faints and catching someone looked fake in every test.
- 5
Make the physics explicit
If someone drinks, say the cap comes off first. If a hand holds the product, say it keeps holding it.
- 6
Leave room for captions
If you will add text on top, ask for a plain top quarter: "the top quarter of the frame is plain wall".
- 7
No other brands
Never name a real shop or brand in the scene; the model may paint its logo on things. Your own product's label is the only one that should show.
- 8
Describe people in words
A person described in words needs no photo and no permission. The official Seedance turns down photos of realistic people unless it made that person on your account in the last 30 days, and any real person's photo needs their permission.

Swap in your own product and keep the shape: quality line, one scene, the product as image 1, its real size, one steady shot.
Ultra realistic, 4k like. A woman at a bright bathroom mirror presses two drops of the serum from image 1 onto her fingertips, pats them into her cheek, then holds the bottle up beside her face with the label to the camera. The bottle stays exactly as in image 1, no bigger than her palm, and the top quarter of the frame is plain wall.
Face serumUltra realistic, 4k like. Early morning in a kitchen, a tabby cat waits beside the pet feeder from image 1; the feeder drops a small portion into its bowl and the cat starts eating. The feeder stays exactly as in image 1, about knee high next to the cat, and the camera stays still at cat height.
Automatic pet feederUltra realistic, 4k like. A man at a dim desk switches on the lamp from image 1, tilts its head toward his notebook and gives the camera a small nod. The lamp stays exactly as in image 1, about as tall as his forearm, in one steady shot.
Desk lampUltra realistic, 4k like. Seen from above, two hands roll the desk mat from image 1 across a cluttered wooden desk, set a keyboard and a mouse on it and smooth the edge flat. The mat keeps the exact colour and stitched edge of image 1 and covers most of the desk.
Desk matUltra realistic, 4k like. On a kitchen counter a woman lifts the coffee brewer from image 1 out of a plain brown box, sets it down and turns it so its front faces the camera. The brewer stays exactly as in image 1, about as tall as a kettle, and the box has no printing.
Coffee brewerUltra realistic, 4k like. After a run, a man takes the bottle from image 1 out of his gym bag, unscrews the cap, drinks, then holds the bottle toward the camera. It keeps the exact shape and colour of image 1, about the length of his forearm, and the cap comes off before he drinks.
Steel water bottleUltra realistic, 4k like. In a small kitchen a woman froths milk in a glass with the frother from image 1, spoons the foam onto a coffee, takes a sip and smiles at the cup. The frother stays exactly as in image 1, about the size of a pen, and the camera stays at counter height.
Milk frotherUltra realistic, 4k like. On a sunny city street a woman walks toward the camera with the tote bag from image 1 on her shoulder, stops and turns so the bag's front faces the lens. The bag keeps the exact print and colour of image 1, in one continuous shot with no cuts.

Questions, answered
How long should a Seedance 2.5 prompt be?
Short. A quality line and one or two sentences of scene worked best in our tests. Long lists of rules and second-by-second timings made clips look less real, not more.
How do I stop Seedance from changing my product?
Upload the product photo as the first picture, call it "the product from image 1", say it stays exactly as in image 1, and give its real size against a hand, a face or a known object.
Can I use a photo of a real person with Seedance 2.5?
Only with that person's permission, and not on every version: the official Seedance turns down realistic people in photos unless it made that person on your account in the last 30 days. Describing the person in words, or making an avatar from words in the UGC Ad first, avoids both.
What does a Seedance 2.5 test clip cost?
On Kliperio a 5-second clip at 480p costs €0.328 today, before VAT. Longer and sharper clips cost more; the studio shows the price before you click.
Should the prompt ask for phone footage?
In our tests, no. Words like "unedited phone video" or "slight grain" made Seedance 2.5 flat and dull. A quality line at the start gave the most real-looking skin and product.
Which actions look fake?
Falls, faints, catching someone and fast stunts. Keep to one person, one simple action and a steady camera, and make physical steps explicit, such as opening a cap before drinking.
Can my AI assistant run these prompts for me?
Yes. Connect Claude, Claude Code or Codex to Kliperio over MCP, give it a prompt and your product photo, and it quotes the price, makes the clip and brings back the link.
